The Arab International Optronics Company was established in 1982 under Investment Law No. 43 of 1974 as a joint venture between the Egyptian Ministry of Defense (represented by the National Service Projects Organization) with a 51% stake, and the British USH group of companies, which is currently the French Thales Group, with a 49% stake.
The aim was to achieve self-sufficiency in the manufacture of precision military optical products. The company is committed to developing, innovating, and acquiring the latest industrial technologies for its optical, electro-optical, and electronic products, and to reaching global markets as the best-in-class company in its field.

Company Scope of Work (Overview): The company specializes in the development and integration of advanced optical, electrical, and electronic systems for both military and civilian applications.
Key areas include: Energy-efficient LED lighting and CCTV products: Surveillance, security, and protection systems, including radar, warning, and laser technologies.
Various types of cameras are available to suit different environments and operational needs, reflecting the company’s strong focus on safety and security.

Strategic Focus: Priority is given to fulfilling the requirements of the Egyptian Armed Forces, with surplus production capacity directed toward exports and serving the civilian sector.
